APRN - PSYCHIATRIC

Position: A.P.R.N. – Residential Program & Detox, 18th Street, 10th Street & Residential Campus 

Job Type: Full Time

Qualifications: Psychiatric APRN to perform psychiatric evaluations and medication clinics required. APRN as issued by the Florida Board of Nursing and the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Job Duties: The APRN candidate will be responsible for interviewing clients, obtaining and recording health histories, performing physical assessments as well as assessing mental and developmental client status within a substance use disorder treatment setting. In addition, he/she will be responsible for ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and procedures when necessary along with managing the healthcare for those clients whom he/she has been assigned to, including providing health teaching and counseling, nutritional recommendations and modifications of diet, consultation, collaborative management and/or referrals as appropriate.

The APRN candidate will evaluate the outcomes of prescribed treatment and plans of care, analyze health behaviors related to personality, illness, culture and lifestyle and its impact on the clients health, and will be responsible for maintaining the medical records, providing emergency treatment and referring to community resources when applicable.

COOK

Position: Cook – Dietary

Job Type: Full Time

Qualifications: Position requires a High School Degree or equivalent. Must be able to pass Department of Children and Families Level II background screenings.

Job Duties: Supports nutritional needs of clients by preparing and serving established meal plans. Knowledge of basic dietary and nutritional principles; strong people skills to provide excellent internal and external customer service.

COUNSELOR – RESIDENTIAL

Position: Counselor - Seasons Program, North Washington Campus

Job Type: Full Time

Qualifications: BA in related field in behavioral health care or BA in unrelated field with 3 years’ experience in behavioral health care or equivalent with 3 years addictions counseling experience and/or college course work in psychology or related field. Valid Florida Drivers’ License.

Job Duties: Restores or develops client’s ability to function substance-free by assessing the client’s situation, setting goals and providing required services to clients. Obtains’ assistance for client by referring him/her to community resources. Fosters client’s action or adjustment by interpreting attitudes and patterns of behavior; addresses court related consequences of on-campus behavior. Maintains client confidential records by documenting client’s situation and client’s own actions; accurately completes required paperwork procedures. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions, participating in quality reviews; reporting needed changes. Facilitate Groups; participate in staff in-house meetings.

COUNSELOR - OP

Position: Counselor – Sarasota Outpatient Prevention Program, 17th Street Campus

Job Type: Full Time

Qualifications: BA in related field and 2 years’ experience in behavioral health care or BA in unrelated field with 3 years’ experience in behavioral health care.

Job Duties: Restores or develops client’s ability to function substance-free by assessing the client’s situation, setting goals and providing required services integrates and promotes corporate mission. Primary substance abuse and/or mental health training; strong people skills to provide excellent internal and external customer service.

Early Intervention Program (EIP) Specialist

Position: EIP Specialist – Intervention/Outreach Program, 17th Street Campus

Job Type: Full Time

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge and understanding of substance abuse and HIV disease; current training in HIV 104 and 501; strong people skills to provide excellent internal and external customer service.

Job Duties: Provides street education, prevention, and intervention on substance abuse and HIV disease by distributing approved documentation materials throughout the community. The candidate will presents risk reducing behaviors to at-risk populations and individuals by explaining behavior options and interpretations, as well as educate clients by conducting pre- and post-test counseling for HIV antibody testing. In addition, coordinates planning services available to clients by interviewing client, assessing needs and goals of client and providing emergency/crisis intervention services by referring client to other appropriate programs

Mental Health Therapist

Position: Mental Health Therapist (School-Based) Sarasota District

Job Type: Full Time

Qualifications: Candidate must possess a Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field.  Therapists must be licensed or in the process of becoming licensed.

Job Duties: This position will provide support to youth, families, and staff. Candidate must be confident working independently within a school setting to include working with school faculty. Position will provide therapeutic intervention and counseling services to children and families at school and/or home or office if better suited for the family as well as linkage to community service, as needed. Strong foundation in providing trauma informed care is required. Experience providing Mental Health services to youth and families is required. Experience providing Substance Abuse services to youth and families is a plus. Candidate must have a flexible schedule to accommodate families’ needs. Familiar with electronic medical records and insurance billing requirements.

Substance Abuse Tech

Position: Substance Abuse Tech - Choices Program, 18th Street Campus

Job Type: Full Time, Part Time, Weekend Day Shift 7am-7pm

Qualifications: Position requires a High School Degree or equivalent. Must be able to pass Department of Children and Families Level II background screenings. Shift Differentials apply to evening, night and weekend shifts.

Job Duties: Clinical care experience; strong people skills to provide excellent internal and external customer service; competency in basic computer skills. Provides assistance and supervision to clients; compiles, reviews, and files documentation of client care; communicates effectively with tech supervisor.

Discharge Planner

Position: Discharge Planner - CSU - 10th Street

Job Type: Full Time

Qualifications: BA in behavioral healthcare field with a minimum of 2 years mental health related experience. Master’s Degree preferred.

Job Duties: Assists Director of Nursing in the discharge process for all CSU clients, post discharge follow-up, maintaining cooperative relations with community agencies and service providers, and meeting with families to develop and implement appropriate discharge plans for after care.

Counselor

Position: Addiction Receiving Facility (A.R.F.) Counselor – 18th Street

Job Type: Full Time

Determines nature of client’s situation by interviewing client; assessing medical, psychological, emotional and social information. Establishes course of action by exploring options; setting goals with client. Obtains assistance for client by referring him/her to community resources. Fosters client’s action or adjustment by interpreting attitudes and patterns of behavior. Maintains client records by documenting client’s situation and client’s own actions; accurately completes required paperwork procedures. Maintains operations by following policies, procedures, rules and regulations; participating in quality reviews; reporting needed changes. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping client information confidential; following established confidentiality policy and procedures; maintaining professional boundaries with clients.

RN

Position: RN – A.R.F., Detox & CSU, 10th Street Campus & 18th Street Campus

Job Type: Full Time, Part Time

Qualifications: General nursing experience and/or substance abuse nursing experience; strong people skills to provide excellent internal and external customer service. Current Florida licensure as a Registered Nurse.

Job Duties: Promotes and restores client’s health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.

Behavioral Health Tech

Job Type: Full Time, Part Time

Qualifications: Position requires a High School Degree or equivalent. Must be able to pass Department of Children and Families Level II background screenings. Shift differentials apply to evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Job Duties: Position will be assisting the professional staff and monitor clients in a rehabilitation setting. Candidate is responsible for making sure clients receive the needs and services to ensure their recovery. Will do laundry and monitor condition of clients.

LPN

Position: LPN – A.R.F., Detox, Pathways, CSU Programs, & Sarasota OP, 10th Street Campus & 18th Street Campus

Job Type: Full Time, Part Time, Per Diem

Qualifications: One year General nursing experience and/or substance abuse nursing experience; strong people skills to provide excellent internal and external customer service. Current Florida licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Job Duties: Promotes and restores client’s health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.

Behavioral Response Clinician

Position: The Behavioral Health Response Team (BHRT) is available to provide on-site or mobile assessments and referrals for further treatment to any individual experiencing a mental health or substance abuse problem, or both. BHRT services communities within Sarasota County. Services are provided to adults in various community settings rooms within the catchment area. Our staff assess clients for critical symptoms and work with the client to coordinate their next phase of treatment. BHRT uses a strength-based and person centered approach when intervening in crisis situations to ensure that clients are provided individualized care and support.

Job Type: Part Time

Qualifications: Master’s degree in a clinical course of study (social work, psychology, counseling or related field)

·         Licensed or license eligible highly preferred and required in some instances, such as LCSW, LICSW, LMHC.

·         Commitment to providing outstanding care.

·         Must have excellent clinical, written and verbal skills.

·         1-2 years of experience preferred working in a fast paced medical clinic, trauma, or residential setting and/or providing medical services to homeless individuals either in clinic or community based settings is preferred.

·         All bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

·         Current valid US-issued driver’s license and ability to provide a registered and insured automobile for work related purposes, including travel between work sites
Must be able to pass a CORI background check.

Special Skills: Clinicians thoroughly assess issues of suicide, homicide, inability to care or self and impairment in judgment. Once an assessment is completed Clinicians work with the individual and his/her supports, both formal and informal, to coordinate the next phase of treatment.

Recovery Peer Specialist

Job Type: Part Time

Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED. Certification as a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (if not certified at hiring date, the applicant must be working toward certification and would have one year from date of hire to attain certification).

Job Duties: Provides peer support services to persons with substance use disorders, as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Works closely with clients to reinforce action steps identified in the intervention/recovery plan. Utilizes coaching techniques that enable clients to learn effective tools to manage symptoms, prevent relapse, and remove barriers to recovery. Past experience working directly with people in a service oriented field is beneficial. Active membership/participation in a consumer advocacy or self-help group. Ability to work proactively with various groups of people. Familiarity with the Sarasota County community. A sound understanding of mental health and/or substance abuse problems and treatments. Personal traits which include: patience, tolerance, caring, maturity and understanding.

Therapist

Position: Therapist - Sarasota Outpatient Program, North Port Campus

Job Type: Part Time

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health field. Licensed in the State of Florida as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

Job Duties: Provide substance abuse consultation to adolescents, adults and families in order to improve psychosocial functioning within primary care setting. Excellent working knowledge of substance abuse issues and evidence-based treatments for medical and substance abuse conditions. Ability to work through brief patient contacts as well as to make quick and accurate clinical assessments of mental and behavioral conditions. Should be comfortable with the pace of primary care, working with an interdisciplinary team, and have strong communication skills. Good knowledge of psycho-pharmacology. Ability to design and implement clinical pathways and protocols for treatment of selected chronic conditions. To perform this job successfully, individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software

Substance Abuse Tech

PositionSubstance Abuse Technician – Mothers & Infants Program, 18th Street Campus

Job Type: Full Time, Part Time

Qualifications: Substance Abuse Technicians needed to work in residential recovery environment serving pregnant mothers and infants. Must be dependable; possess clear boundaries, team-oriented and committed. Position requires a High School Degree or equivalent. Must be able to pass Department of Children and Families Level II background screenings. Shift differentials apply to evening, night, and weekend shifts. This is not a CNA position.

Job Duties: Position will Include, but is not limited to assisting the professional staff and monitoring clients in a rehabilitation setting. Ensuring that clients adhere to program expectations and requirements to support their recovery. Interaction with clients throughout shift, monitoring of clients, reporting outcomes to professional staff as needed. Requires interacting with expectant mothers, infants, and newborns.
