Care Coordinator and Utilization Manager

Job Type: Full Time
 
Responsibilities: Direct supervision of Care Coordinators. Insuring that care coordination services are provided in accordance with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) regional operating procedure and with the Central Florida Behavioral Health Network (CFBHN) contract. Working collaboratively with Coastal staff, medical insurance carriers and CFBHN staff for optimal utilization management and reporting of CSU and Care Coordination services and claims. This position reports directly to the Director of Case Management Services.
 
Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree. A Master’s degree is preferred. Must have experience working in a psychiatric or chemical dependency setting with two years of experience in utilization review. The position requires comprehensive knowledge of all behavioral health levels of care and community resources. Firm understanding of general medical necessity criteria and knowledge of managed care reimbursement rules is required. Additional required skills/aptitudes include leadership, problem-solving, data management, EHR and general computer capabilities, strong communication, organization, quality assurance and follow-up skills.

 

Human Resources Secretary 

Job Type: Part Time

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree preferred. A minimum of 3 years’ previous experience in the role of Human Resource Assistant or a very similar position is required.

Position Summary: The HR Assistant/Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting staff for the organization, maintaining all job postings and coordinating the various job sites, reference checks, background screenings for new hires and volunteers, conducting employee and volunteer orientation, development and training. The HR Assistant will provide office services by following administrative systems, procedures and policies, and monitoring HR projects. The ideal candidate must be extremely well organized and methodical in the approach to problem solving and be able to manage filing/database systems, and must be able to operate Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, ADP HR functionality, and have excellent communication skills.

 

Unit Clerk

Position Summary: Provides administrative support to the Addictions Receiving Facility. Provides back up administrative support to Special Services Campus, as needed.

Qualifications: GED/HS preferred but will consider 2 years experience in related position. Bilingual preferred. 

Job Duties: Strong organizational skills. Ability to accurately and efficiently input specific client data into designated systems. Ability to multi-task and learn quickly when shown processes and procedures.  Capable of being a self starter. Ability to work as a team player, yet work independently and take appropriate initiative to problem-solve.

 

Accountant

Job Type: Full Time

Position Summary: Maintains and balances daily GL accounting transactions. Prepares, submits and records monthly invoices according to State and Local contracts. Performs Bank reconciliations. Annual fixed asset tracking, inventory and retirements. Assists with various reporting and fiscal audits.

Educational Requirements and Experience: Bachelor degree in accounting preferred, but not required. 3+ years of Accounting experience. Knowledge of Insurance billing and contracts (Medicaid, Medicare, and Third Party Insurances) (preferred)

Special Skills: GL, Payroll, Attention to detail, Strong Excel skills, and data entry.

 

Data Entry Specialist

Job Type: Full Time

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties: Maintains and monitors EMR/data base of client demographics, charts, and outcomes. Works with CFO and MIS Director to meet billing deadlines and maintain billing vs. data requirements.

Special Skills: Experience with computerized data systems; strong people skills to provide excellent internal and external customer service.

 

Emergency Services Coordinator

Job Type: Full Time
 
Qualifications: Minimum of a Master's degree plus 1-year experience in crisis intervention, grief counseling, Marchman Act and Baker Act facilitation. Active Florida LCSW or LMHC required.
 
Job Duties:
 
Coordinates clinical services, including scheduling and assigning employees, monitoring work assignments, and ensuring clinical participation in treatment team meetings.
Ensure compliance and standards, rules, policies and procedures through periodic chart audits, staff meetings, peer review, training, supervision and other appropriate methods.
Facilitates and/or supervises clinical group sessions on the CSU.
Provides therapeutic services to clients, including psychosocial assessments, individual and group counseling, disposition planning, and crisis intervention onsite, in the community, face to face, and via telehealth.
Completes all required documentation within regulatory timeframes, meets or exceeds quality guidelines for clinical documentation. Reviews and signs off on biopsychosocial assessments and offers coaching where needed.
Works closely with Marchman Act and Baker Act Coordinator to provide timely reports to courts, family members and other interested parties.
Provides back-up "on call" services as needed; schedules and monitors Access Center staffing monthly, as needed.
 

Administrative Assistant

Job Type: Full Time
 
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or high school diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years working in an office setting.
 
Job Duties: Responsible for advanced administrative work reporting to the Chief Officer’s or Inpatient Services and Chief Administrative Officer. Performs a variety of advance clerical, administrative, and special projects and utilizes a variety of office skills along with the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills. Able to maintain a balance among multiple priorities. Works independently on projects and activities from conception to completion and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion and judgment, while working in a results-oriented and fast-paced behavioral healthcare environment.

 

Therapist - Compass Center

Position: Clinician/Therapist– COMPASS CENTER– Adolescent Substance Abuse and Co-occurring Residential Treatment – Punta Gorda Campus
 
Job Type: Full Time
 
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling Edu., Mental Health Counseling, CAP or Bachelor’s in Mental Health Counseling, Substance Abuse Counseling or related area. Licensed preferred but not required.
 
Job Duties: Conducts timely assessments, intakes and treatment plans. Assesses and determines client’s most appropriate treatment plan inside/outside agency treatment programs. Works closely with COMPASS Center Director or designee for consultations and feedback regarding medical and clinical appropriateness. Works cooperatively with other COMPASS staff. Provides counseling, crisis intervention, and other interventions as needed. Obtains patient information including, but not limited to, 3rd party insurance and emergency contact information. Provides and documents timely and thorough treatment services, assessments, evaluations, and interventions for all individuals whether or not they are admitted to COMPASS. Provides discharge planning/relapse prevention to clients ready for completion of the program. Computer Literacy: Completes all training requirements in a timely manner. Completes all other duties and special projects as assigned.

 

Admissions Counselor - Weekends

Position: Admissions Counselor – CSU
 
Job Type: Part Time
 
Qualifications: This position requires a Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling education, mental health counseling, psychiatric nursing; or be a registered nurse; or be a person with a Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field with a minimum of 1 year of mental health related experience.
 
Job Duties: This position is responsible for the screening/assessment, intake and referral of clients in the Crisis Stabilization Unit Central Intake department. Conduct and document initial assessments and related intake evaluations; assess client needs; and refer clients to appropriate FSOS program or outside agencies as applicable.

 

Community Engagement Coordinator

Job Type: Full Time
 
Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral sciences or related field with a minimum of two years’ experience in community program development and delivery. Position also requires strong organizational, communication, computer skills. This position requires the ability to work with diverse populations and individuals of all ages. Previous experience in substance abuse prevention is preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license, private insurance and be insurable.
 
Job Duties:
 
In cooperation with the Drug Free Sarasota Coalition (DFSC), assist with the planning, promotion, implementation, and evaluation of substance abuse prevention strategies and activities as spelled out in the Drug Free Communities (DFC) plan.
 
In cooperation with the DFSC, maintain regular communication among DFSC members and supporters using both electronic and print modalities to assure informed and coordinated actions.
 
Participate in mandated DFC meetings, events, trainings, conferences, including travel to site as needed.
 
Coordinate the development of increased capacity for prevention projects in Sarasota County; more specifically Sarasota City and north Venice City to promote community-specific engagement and sustainability.
 
Fulfill responsibilities related to staff development, meetings, trainings, committees and other responsibilities as required.
 
Assure cultural competency throughout the project for all aspects of programming to address issues of age, race, ethnicity, culture, language, sexual orientation, disability, literacy, and gender in the target population.
 
Maintain and protect confidentiality and security of all organizational information gained in the course of performing job responsibilities including, but not limited to, financial and client information.
 
Perform other duties necessary as assigned. Some travel may be included.

 

Cook

Position: Cook – Dietary

Job Type: Full Time

Qualifications: Position requires a High School Degree or equivalent. Must be able to pass Department of Children and Families Level II background screenings.

Job Duties: Supports nutritional needs of clients by preparing and serving established meal plans. Knowledge of basic dietary and nutritional principles; strong people skills to provide excellent internal and external customer service.

 

Counselor - Residential 

Position: Counselor - Seasons Program, North Washington Campus

Job Type: Full Time

Qualifications: BA in related field in behavioral health care or BA in unrelated field with 3 years’ experience in behavioral health care or equivalent with 3 years addictions counseling experience and/or college course work in psychology or related field. Valid Florida Drivers’ License.

Job Duties: Restores or develops client’s ability to function substance-free by assessing the client’s situation, setting goals and providing required services to clients. Obtains’ assistance for client by referring him/her to community resources. Fosters client’s action or adjustment by interpreting attitudes and patterns of behavior; addresses court related consequences of on-campus behavior. Maintains client confidential records by documenting client’s situation and client’s own actions; accurately completes required paperwork procedures. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions, participating in quality reviews; reporting needed changes. Facilitate Groups; participate in staff in-house meetings.

 

Early Intervention Program (EIP) Specialist

Position: EIP Specialist – Intervention/Outreach Program, 17th Street Campus

Job Type: Full Time

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge and understanding of substance abuse and HIV disease; current training in HIV 104 and 501; strong people skills to provide excellent internal and external customer service.

Job Duties: Provides street education, prevention, and intervention on substance abuse and HIV disease by distributing approved documentation materials throughout the community. The candidate will presents risk reducing behaviors to at-risk populations and individuals by explaining behavior options and interpretations, as well as educate clients by conducting pre- and post-test counseling for HIV antibody testing. In addition, coordinates planning services available to clients by interviewing client, assessing needs and goals of client and providing emergency/crisis intervention services by referring client to other appropriate programs

 

Substance Abuse Tech

Position: Substance Abuse Tech - Choices Program, 18th Street Campus

Job Type: Full Time, Part Time, Weekend Day Shift 7am-7pm

Qualifications: Position requires a High School Degree or equivalent. Must be able to pass Department of Children and Families Level II background screenings. Shift Differentials apply to evening, night and weekend shifts.

Job Duties: Clinical care experience; strong people skills to provide excellent internal and external customer service; competency in basic computer skills. Provides assistance and supervision to clients; compiles, reviews, and files documentation of client care; communicates effectively with tech supervisor.

 

Discharge Planner

Position: Discharge Planner - CSU - 10th Street

Job Type: Full Time

Qualifications: BA in behavioral healthcare field with a minimum of 2 years mental health related experience. Master’s Degree preferred.

Job Duties: Assists Director of Nursing in the discharge process for all CSU clients, post discharge follow-up, maintaining cooperative relations with community agencies and service providers, and meeting with families to develop and implement appropriate discharge plans for after care.

 

Counselor

Position: Addiction Receiving Facility (A.R.F.) Counselor – 18th Street

Job Type: Full Time

Qualifications: Primary substance abuse and/or mental health training. Strong people skills to provide excellent internal and external customer service. BA in related field and 2 years’ experience in behavioral health care or BA in unrelated field with 3 years’ experience in behavioral health care.

Job Duties: Restores or develops client’s ability to function substance-free by assessing the client’s situation, setting goals and providing required services integrates and promotes corporate mission. Determines nature of client’s situation by interviewing client; assessing medical, psychological, emotional and social information. Establishes course of action by exploring options; setting goals with client. Obtains assistance for client by referring him/her to community resources. Fosters client’s action or adjustment by interpreting attitudes and patterns of behavior. Maintains client records by documenting client’s situation and client’s own actions; accurately completes required paperwork procedures. Maintains operations by following policies, procedures, rules and regulations; participating in quality reviews; reporting needed changes. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping client information confidential; following established confidentiality policy and procedures; maintaining professional boundaries with clients.

 

RN

Position: RN – A.R.F., Detox & CSU, 10th Street Campus & 18th Street Campus

Job Type: Full Time, Part Time

Qualifications: General nursing experience and/or substance abuse nursing experience; strong people skills to provide excellent internal and external customer service. Current Florida licensure as a Registered Nurse.

Job Duties: Promotes and restores client’s health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.

Behavioral Health Tech

Job Type: Full Time, Part Time, Sarasota, Punta Gorda

Qualifications: Position requires a High School Degree or equivalent. Must be able to pass Department of Children and Families Level II background screenings. Shift differentials apply to evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Job Duties: Position will be assisting the professional staff and monitor clients in a rehabilitation setting. Candidate is responsible for making sure clients receive the needs and services to ensure their recovery. Will do laundry and monitor condition of clients.

 

LPN

Position: LPN – A.R.F., Detox, Pathways, CSU Programs, & Sarasota OP, 10th Street Campus & 18th Street Campus

Job Type: Full Time, Part Time, Per Diem

Qualifications: One year General nursing experience and/or substance abuse nursing experience; strong people skills to provide excellent internal and external customer service. Current Florida licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Job Duties: Promotes and restores client’s health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.

 

Behavioral Response Clinician

Position: The Behavioral Health Response Team (BHRT) is available to provide on-site or mobile assessments and referrals for further treatment to any individual experiencing a mental health or substance abuse problem, or both. BHRT services communities within Sarasota County. Services are provided to adults in various community settings rooms within the catchment area. Our staff assess clients for critical symptoms and work with the client to coordinate their next phase of treatment. BHRT uses a strength-based and person centered approach when intervening in crisis situations to ensure that clients are provided individualized care and support.

Job Type: Part Time

Qualifications: Master’s degree in a clinical course of study (social work, psychology, counseling or related field)

·         Licensed or license eligible highly preferred and required in some instances, such as LCSW, LICSW, LMHC.

·         Commitment to providing outstanding care.

·         Must have excellent clinical, written and verbal skills.

·         1-2 years of experience preferred working in a fast paced medical clinic, trauma, or residential setting and/or providing medical services to homeless individuals either in clinic or community based settings is preferred.

·         All bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

·         Current valid US-issued driver’s license and ability to provide a registered and insured automobile for work related purposes, including travel between work sites
Must be able to pass a CORI background check.

Special Skills: Clinicians thoroughly assess issues of suicide, homicide, inability to care or self and impairment in judgment. Once an assessment is completed Clinicians work with the individual and his/her supports, both formal and informal, to coordinate the next phase of treatment.

 

Behavioral Health Intervention Specialist

Job Type: Full Time

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health field. Licensed in the State of Florida as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

Job Duties: Provide substance abuse consultation to adolescents, adults and families in order to improve psychosocial functioning within primary care setting. Excellent working knowledge of substance abuse issues and evidence-based treatments for medical and substance abuse conditions. Ability to work through brief patient contacts as well as to make quick and accurate clinical assessments of mental and behavioral conditions. Should be comfortable with the pace of primary care, working with an interdisciplinary team, and have strong communication skills. Good knowledge of psycho-pharmacology. Ability to design and implement clinical pathways and protocols for treatment of selected chronic conditions. To perform this job successfully, individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software.

 

Recovery Peer Specialist

Job Type: Part Time

Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED. Certification as a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (if not certified at hiring date, the applicant must be working toward certification and would have one year from date of hire to attain certification).

Job Duties: Provides peer support services to persons with substance use disorders, as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Works closely with clients to reinforce action steps identified in the intervention/recovery plan. Utilizes coaching techniques that enable clients to learn effective tools to manage symptoms, prevent relapse, and remove barriers to recovery. Past experience working directly with people in a service oriented field is beneficial. Active membership/participation in a consumer advocacy or self-help group. Ability to work proactively with various groups of people. Familiarity with the Sarasota County community. A sound understanding of mental health and/or substance abuse problems and treatments. Personal traits which include: patience, tolerance, caring, maturity and understanding.

 

Front Desk Coordinator

Position Summary: Provides office services by following administrative systems, procedures and policies
 
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent
 
Position Duties: General office experience including copying, filing, light typing; strong people skills to provide excellent internal and external customer service. Welcomes clients and visitors by greeting clients and visitors in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries. Keeps client appointments on schedule by notifying service provider of client’s arrival; reminding service provider of delays. Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving client records. Maintains client accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information. Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt of supplies.

 

Therapist

Position: Therapist - Sarasota Outpatient Program, North Port Campus

Job Type: Part Time

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health field. Licensed in the State of Florida as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

Substance Abuse Tech

PositionSubstance Abuse Technician – Mothers & Infants Program, 18th Street Campus

Job Type: Full Time, Part Time

Qualifications: Substance Abuse Technicians needed to work in residential recovery environment serving pregnant mothers and infants. Must be dependable; possess clear boundaries, team-oriented and committed. Position requires a High School Degree or equivalent. Must be able to pass Department of Children and Families Level II background screenings. Shift differentials apply to evening, night, and weekend shifts. This is not a CNA position.

Job Duties: Position will Include, but is not limited to assisting the professional staff and monitoring clients in a rehabilitation setting. Ensuring that clients adhere to program expectations and requirements to support their recovery. Interaction with clients throughout shift, monitoring of clients, reporting outcomes to professional staff as needed. Requires interacting with expectant mothers, infants, and newborns.

 

Drug Court Counselor

Position Summary: The Sarasota Drug Court Program of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Drug Court and First Step of Sarasota Counselor position provides counseling services to program participants, establishes and maintains community partnerships, advocates for the program, and reports program data to the Court and community partners.

Educational Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree and experience in addictions treatment and counseling. We are seeking someone that is professional and organized. A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass background screening and reference checks are required.

Special Skills: Must be professional and organized. Drug Court is a specialized treatment court that combines legal proceedings, addiction treatment and rehabilitation into one program. Program participation is voluntary in this judicially supervised treatment approach, developed jointly by court staff and mental health professionals.
