Job Duties: The APRN candidate will be responsible for interviewing clients, obtaining and recording health histories, performing physical assessments as well as assessing mental and developmental client status within a substance use disorder treatment setting. In addition, he/she will be responsible for ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and procedures when necessary along with managing the healthcare for those clients whom he/she has been assigned to, including providing health teaching and counseling, nutritional recommendations and modifications of diet, consultation, collaborative management and/or referrals as appropriate.

Position: The Behavioral Health Response Team (BHRT) is available to provide on-site or mobile assessments and referrals for further treatment to any individual experiencing a mental health or substance abuse problem, or both. BHRT services communities within Sarasota County. Services are provided to adults in various community settings rooms within the catchment area. Our staff assess clients for critical symptoms and work with the client to coordinate their next phase of treatment. BHRT uses a strength-based and person centered approach when intervening in crisis situations to ensure that clients are provided individualized care and support.
