Crisis Stabilization and Behavioral Health Mobile Response Team

Crisis Stabilization Services

941-364-9355
Crisis Stabilization Services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergency services to individuals 18 and older who are experiencing a severe emotional or psychiatric crisis. Staff are health care professionals trained in risk assessment and crisis intervention evaluations.
The Kreisman Center CSU is the designated Public Baker Act receiving facility for adults in Sarasota. Individuals are screened and evaluated and can refer themselves or be referred by law enforcement officers, family members, local hospital emergency rooms, physicians, mental health professionals and other social services agencies if they present an imminent risk of “serious bodily harm” to themselves and/or others as a result of a mental health disorder and/or substance use.
The Kreisman Crisis Stabilization Unit has 37 beds in two units. Our clients come from all walks of life.
On-site and follow-up services include helping clients gain access to post-discharge services; these services include connections to mental health and medical treatment as well as social, educational and housing services

Behavioral Health Mobile Response Team

941-364-9355
The Behavioral Health Mobile Response Team is a 24/7/365 Immediate Crisis Intervention Unit for youths, adults and families who are experiencing a mental health or substance-use crisis. It works through our Access Center to dispatch help to home, healthcare facilities, doctors offices, schools or anywhere else in the community where the individual is in immediate need of behavioral health support. Mobile response is available to all residents of Sarasota County. Clinicians will respond via telehealth or in person to do assessments and will provide a 72-hour follow up. The goal is to divert people in crisis away from emergency departments, to lessen trauma and to prevent unnecessary hospitalizations.
Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance are accepted for BHRT services.
