For many people, legal intervention is necessary to encourage them to get the help they need to fight their substance abuse addictions.  First Step’s Court Services office assists those being court-ordered to a residential treatment program.

Clients must be at least 18 years of age and court-ordered into a substance abuse treatment program.  Attorneys and public defenders should contact First Step’s Court Services office at 941-366-5333. 

Individuals can be court-ordered to the following residential programs:

  • Pathways – 28-day program
  • Choices and Crossroads – Gender-specific programs for convicted felons court-ordered to treatment
  • Transitions – Halfway house extended residential treatment program aiding in the transition from a recovery treatment setting to the community
